Description
Handmade crochet teething ring/toy with bunny ears is made out of natural wooden beech ring and cotton yarn, an alternative to silicone and plastic. These are ideal for supporting babies through teething - the ears are big enough for baby to hold and chew at and the different textures of wood and crochet provide a great teething experience for any little one. Wood is a great choice for baby’s sore gums. Before giving it to baby it is best to treat it with natural finish in order for the wood to not splinter. Coconut oil is the best as it is natural, safe for baby and it also smells lovely. You can dip the ring in it or you can apply it with a paper towel, then remove the excess and let it dry. The two cotton yarn brands I use are certified in accordance with either the EN71-3 or OEKO-TEX® certification standards which oversee the rigorous testing of a wide range of substances that may be present in organic fibres. The teether is really simple to pull apart and clean. Simply remove the crocheted bunny ears from the wooden ring and hand wash with warm water and liquid baby soap. Can also be machine washable on wool cycle. Wash dark colours separately. Allow to air dry and reshape while damp. The wooden ring can be wiped clean with wet cloth and then treated with coconut oil or olive oil to avoid drying out the wood. Do not bleach. Please supervise baby while they are playing with this teether. Check it on a regular basis and remove from use at first signs of wear. Remove before bedtime.
