Cot you Can use from 0 to 5 years old. We moved our son there when he was too Big for the moses basket. But you Can use it from birth. The bed base can be placed at two different heights. One cot side can be removed when the child is big enough to climb into/out of the cot. My son now needs a bigger bed as he 115 cm. It is really really well kept. No scratches.
